Shawn Belling

In his FarWell role, Shawn guides his clients on Agile change management, process optimization and Agile project execution. His core knowledge area is technology delivery and leadership at the executive level, but his extensive organizational experience makes him an exceptionally talented management consultant across multiple business disciplines. Shawn boasts an impressive professional background as the former CIO of Madison College, an adjunct faculty member at the University of Wisconsin and the University of Southern California, a published author, and a sought-after webinar presenter and conference speaker. Recently, as of January 2023, he has taken on a new challenge as CTO and Head of Product at Geno.Me, a health technology start-up.

Shawn has a BS degree in Education from UW-Whitewater, an MS in Project Management from UW-Platteville, and a Doctorate in Leadership from the University of the Cumberlands. He’s also earned several professional certifications and designations, including Project Management Professional (PMP,) Agile Certified Professional, Certified Scrum Professional, and Registered Scrum @ Scale Practitioner.

He says one of his favorite phrases is “Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment.” Given how accomplished Shawn is, it’s no wonder this philosophy speaks to him.

Even when he’s away from work, Shawn is a lifelong learner, reading extensively. Otherwise, he likes to exercise, cook and listen to music and travel.
