In his FarWell role, Shawn guides his clients on Agile change management, process optimization and Agile project execution. His core knowledge area is technology delivery and leadership at the executive level, but his extensive organizational experience makes him an exceptionally talented management consultant across multiple business disciplines. Shawn is the CIO at Madison College, adjunct faculty at University of Wisconsin and University of Southern California, a published author, a regular webinar presenter and an in-demand conference speaker.
It’d almost be easier to list the skills and proficiencies Shawn doesn’t have than to enumerate the ones he does. Here’s a sampling:
Shawn has a BS degree in Education from the UW-Whitewater and an MS in Project Management from UW-Platteville. He’s also earned several professional certifications and designations, including Project Management Professional (PMP,) Agile Certified Professional, Certified Scrum Professional and Certified Scrum @ Scale Practitioner.
He says one of his favorite phrases is “Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment.” Given how accomplished Shawn is, it’s no wonder this philosophy speaks to him.
Even when he’s away from work, Shawn is a lifelong learner, reading extensively. Otherwise, he likes to exercise, cook and listen to music. He also enjoys travel, although that’s temporarily on hold right now.
