A global provider of industrial automation and technology was in the midst of a multi-year initiative.
The established organization had scaled to over 20k employees in 80 countries.
The initiative goal was to transition work in its Human Resource (HR) function. HR would transition from local generalists to global HR service centers. Company leadership decided to accelerate the transition timeline. HR brought on FarWell to enable the initiative.
FarWell Senior Advisors partnered with the Director, Global HR Service Center and her leaders to provide planning and workshop facilitation. These efforts captured the current state and built Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training methods.
The SOPs and training materials enabled the transition of the work in two global regions – North America and Latin America.
As the FarWell team captured and documented current state, FarWell also partnered with the HR team. Together, they identified improvement opportunities across the regions. A transformative technology opportunity included replacing paper-based checklists with electronic tracking forms.
This organization gathered information in multiple languages within the Latin America region.
FarWell captured the current state into step-by-step procedures, improving the efficiency and effectiveness of that process.
As senior leadership finalized global process decisions, FarWell incorporated those decisions into the documentation. The FarWell team also identified potential barriers to implementing a global process within a country.
FarWell conducted a stakeholder analysis for each region. The analysis captured those affected by the transition. A change impact assessment identified changes for each stakeholder group.
FarWell identified Stop / Start / Continue activities to highlight for each group in training.
